Infoactiv Group
Infoactiv was experiencing regular downtime due to vairous undiagnosed application issues. The inital project required Redgum to monitor their applications and report on the various crashes taking place throughout a 48 hour period and how these crashes affected various critical business processes.
Once the analysis was completed and the issues were addressed, Redgum were able to decrease the amount of crashes to a much more acceptable range of somewhere between 5 and 20 per week. Redgum have also addressed various technology issues being encountered by staff, managers, clients and suppliers. Addressing these issues overtime, taking a case by case approach has allowed Infoactiv to obtain continuous improvements on all areas of their business and react quickly to their changing business environment.
Redgum has developed a long term strategy of replacing the key areas piece by piece and integrating each part back into the main system. Over a 2-3 year timeframe the entire system will be replaced but Infoactiv will have been gaining benefit from each 1-2 month subsystem as it becomes available.

Redgum has spent 5 years maintaining and extending the rather inexpert pre-existing management system, adding features, reports, fixing data issues and ensuring that all the user's needs were being met as best as possible. This was done through weekly meetings with all the staff so they could raise issues and agree on the next steps to be taken. This process had the added benefit of bringing the staff together and allowing them to discuss many of their own issues and processes.
As Redgum gained an understanding of their unique requirements, business processes and key pain points we were able to design and build a range of targeted tooling for the users. Two of these have reduced the monthly fee processing effort by 90% and their weekly sales force management effort by a similar amount.
Based on these two successes it became viable to review the larger system and it’s many inherent problems, in conjunction with a business process definition, the union started to rethink and reshape how they would like to operate, rather than just dealing the myriad of bandaids and workarounds that had been the norm over the past 15 years.
